This page tracks the state of every info sheet: its current version, the date it last changed, and the key changes in each release. The status table below builds itself on every deploy — versions are read from each sheet’s front matter and dates from git history — so you only maintain the release notes.
Versioning scheme. 0.1 — skeleton/outline (structure, objectives, and a Planned contents sketch, but not yet written). 0.2 — draft (full explanation, interactive demo, live code, and a self-check). 1.0 — reviewed and finalised for publication (none yet).
Release history
2026-08-21 — Content pass: Themes 1–2
- Theme 1 filled out: built the Sampling, Experiments-vs-Observation, and Within/Between sheets from Chapter 5, and added a heart-rate/noise worked example plus a “why this page” framing to the Foundations openers.
- Theme 2 filled out: the levels-of-measurement quiz is now radio buttons; Describing Data rebuilt (mode/range on the skew demo, an SEM/“increase n” demo, a “which summary?” quiz, an extra self-check); CLT and normal-random-variable sheets gained practical-example sections; the non-normal sheet gained left-skew examples and a multi-transform demo.
- Split the combined Binomial & Poisson sheet into The Binomial Distribution and The Poisson Distribution, renumbering Theme II (non-normal data → p7).
- Theme 3 filled out: degrees-of-freedom gained a t-curve/df demo and a df quiz; family-wise error now opens with the die-roll hook and moves the corrections (with Holm & Tukey) ahead of the fMRI demo; the p-value sheet got a worked city-heights scenario; t-tests gained a Gosset box, an assumptions/robustness section, and one-vs-two-tailed + which-test quizzes; built the Confidence Intervals and Power & Effect Size sheets; and pruned the runaway OLS note list, adding regression-vs-correlation, R², assumptions-in-brief, and the multiple-regression extension.
2026-08-20 — Published live · v0.2 draft
- Assembled all sheets into a browsable Quarto website with a themed sidebar and search.
- Deployed to Cloudflare Pages (auto-rebuild on every push) at https://stats-info-sheets.pages.dev.
- Added a site-wide CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 copyright footer and a repo
LICENSE.md.
- Enabled Giscus comments (saved as GitHub Discussions), configured write-only so previous comments aren’t shown on the page.
- Added Planned contents outlines to the nine skeleton sheets, replacing raw placeholders.
- Added this Change Log page, with an auto-generating status table.
2026-08-16 — Coverage expansion
- Created two new full sheets: Normal Random Variables and Other Probability Distributions (Binomial & Poisson) — the latter with an interactive Poisson-vs-Gaussian demo tied to the Australian firearms example.
- Added nine follow-up skeletons (sampling, experiments vs observation, within/between designs, confidence intervals, power & effect size, logistic regression, APA reporting, robustness & pitfalls, replication & reproducibility).
- Reorganised the sidebar into numbered themes (I–XI + Appendix).
2026-08-13 — Initial draft buildout
- Drafted the core set of sheets to v0.2, each with an interactive demo, runnable R/Python (webR + Pyodide), a self-check, a pitfall box, and Related topics.
- Added an author-only Editing notes block to every sheet.

How this page is maintained
The status table generates itself on every deploy — bump a sheet’s sheet-version in its front matter and the change shows up here automatically (the date comes from git). You only need to hand-maintain the release history above: when you ship a batch of changes, add a dated entry describing the key updates.
